Electrician van graphics, pre-spaced and ready to install

A licensed electrician's van is a billboard parked in every driveway. We build mail-order graphics kits sized for Transit, ProMaster, Sprinter, and Express vans with the door layout most electrical contractors actually need: company name, phone, services, and the state license number that wins the bid before you knock on the door.

  • Door package: company name, phone, services line, license #
  • Sized for Ford Transit, RAM ProMaster, Mercedes Sprinter, Chevy Express
  • 3M Controltac cast vinyl - resists ladder rub, parking-lot dings
  • USDOT add-on if the van runs over 10,001 lbs combined
  • Optional reflective upgrade for residential safety credibility
USDOT and company name vinyl lettering applied to a work van door
Plotter-cut 3M vinyl, weeded and pre-masked for a 10-minute install.
Flat-packed DOT decal kit with application tape and squeegee
Every kit ships with a felt-edge squeegee, alcohol wipe, and step-by-step card.

Why door packages beat full wraps for service electricians

A full wrap on a Transit runs $3,500-$5,500 and takes the van off the road for 3-4 days. For a one-truck or three-truck electrical shop, that's a quarter of a working week and a hit on the books that takes months to earn back. A door-and-rear lettering package does 80% of the recognition work - company name on both doors, phone above the handle, license number under it, and a services line on the rear - for $250-$650 per van, installed in your driveway between jobs.

Insurance auditors, county inspectors, and HOA boards all photograph license numbers on the side of the van before approving a project. A clear, legible NC, SC, VA, or master license number in 2 in. type is one of the cheapest credibility upgrades in the trade.

What we put on a standard electrician layout

Top line: company name, 3.5-5 in. tall depending on door size. Second line: a tagline or service summary ("Residential + Commercial", "Service Calls + New Construction"). Third line: phone number, large enough to dial from another lane in traffic. Fourth line: license number, prefixed with the state (NC #12345, SC #M.117234). Fifth line: website or service area.

On the rear barn doors or sliding door, we usually run a centered logo plus a services bullet list - panel upgrades, EV chargers, generator install, troubleshooting, whatever pulls the calls you actually want. Every layout is yours to tweak at checkout before we cut.

Built for the way a service van lives

Ladders rub. Conduit shifts in the cargo area. Customers' bushes scrape the rocker panel. We cut on 3M Controltac IJ180mC because it's the same film commercial telecom and utility fleets specify - 7+ year outdoor warranty, removable without paint damage, and rated for pressure washing 24 hours after install.

If your van runs over 10,001 lbs GVWR combined (loaded service-body with a generator and a trailer, for example), FMCSA requires a USDOT number and company name in 2 in. minimum lettering. We add that to the kit for $20-$40 and pre-space it to fit between the door handle and the rocker.

Frequently asked

Does the kit work on a Sprinter with the high roof?
Yes - Sprinter, Transit High Roof, ProMaster, and Express all have flat painted door panels that take vinyl the same way. Tell us the year, make, model, and door style at checkout.
Will it cover the manufacturer's body lines?
We design around body lines and door handles so the layout looks intentional. If your van has a deep character line through the middle of the door, we'll usually split the layout above and below it.
Can I put my Master Electrician number on it?
Yes - any license, certification, or callout (insured, bonded, IBEW, NECA member) can go on the layout. Most states require the license # if you advertise on the vehicle, so we recommend it.
Do I need a USDOT number for my service van?
Only if the van + any towed trailer combined is over 10,001 lbs GVWR and you cross state lines, or if your state has its own intrastate rule. Most single Transits stay under and don't need one.
How long does the install take?
About 20-30 minutes per side for a first-timer. Pre-masked, pre-spaced, with a squeegee and alcohol wipe included.
Can I add a phone number that's a 2-step click-to-call?
The vinyl itself is static, but we can pair it with an NFC tag or QR sticker on the rear that opens your phone/booking link. Add that at checkout.
